    AUDITION INFORMATION
    Auditions for Teen and Senior Company members will be held May 14 from 8:30 - 10:00pm. Mini and Junior Company members will be chosen in mid July after being observed in their summer classes beginning June 8th. Those selected are required to participate in a two week company intensive the last two weeks of July where guest intructors are brought in to teach technique and competition choreography for the upcoming year.              Tari's company consisted of 46 members during the 2007-2008 season with four groups ranging in age from 8 to 18.  Members were invited to join company after attending the 2007 summer session.  They attended and competed at several coventions and competitions throughout the year. In December 2007, they attended and competed at the Tremaine  Dance Convention in New Orleans. In February, they attended and competed at JUMP in Houston, TX  and in March they attended and competed at the LA Dance Magic (LADM) Convention in Baton Rouge. 

             There were 12 Mini Company members ranging in age from 8 to 11. They competed with a Jazz Production routine "It Don't Matter" which won the Showmanship Award and 2nd Place at Tremaine, a Gold and 3rd Place at JUMP in Houston as well as First Place Platinum at LADM.  Tari's Junior Company, which consisted of 16 dancers ranging in age from 11 to 14, competed together with the Mini Company with a Hip Hop production number, "Supersonic" receiving First Place and Junior High Point Award at Tremaine, 2nd Highest Score in Junior Production, High Gold Junior BEST of JUMP and 1st Place Platinum and Overall Junior Production at LADM.

             The Juniors also competed with two other dances  "Everyday," a Jazz routine, received 1st Place Platinum and Overall Junior Extended Line at LADM, 1st Place Gold and High Score Gold and Mini/Junior Jazz Competition winner at JUMP in Houston and 3rd Place at Tremaine. Their Lyrical dance, "Butterflies," received 1st Place Platinum at LADM and 2nd High Score and High Gold at JUMP. 

              Tari's Teen I Company consisted of 7 members ranging in age from 13-14. They competed with a Jazz dance, "Sun," which received 1st Place at Tremaine, Gold at JUMP, and 2nd Place High Gold at LADM. They also competed with a Lyrical Dance, "Ocean Sized Love" which won 1st Place at Tremaine,Gold at JUMP and 1st Place High Gold at LADM. The Teen II Company consisted of 5 members ranging in age from 14-16. They competed a lyrical dance,"Ready to Love" which received 4th place at Tremaine, High Silver at JUMP, and High Gold at LADM. They competed with "Seven Nation Army," a Jazz Group dance, which received 5th Place at Tremaine, High Silver at JUMP, and Gold at LADM.  

            Tari's Senior Company consisted of 6 members ranging in age from 15-18. They competed with a Jazz Dance, " Where is the Line?" which received a 2nd place at Tremaine, 1st Place and Senior BEST of JUMP at JUMP in Houston and 1st Place Platinum at LADM. This dance scored the second highest score in the Senior division at LADM so the Seniors were invited to perform it in the LADM faculty show. They also competed with a lyrical dance, "That I Would Be Good," which received 3rd Place at Tremaine, 2nd Place High Score at JUMP, and 2nd Place High Gold at LADM. The Teen I, Teen II, and Senior Company members along with other  Hip Hop V class members competed with a Hip Hop dance, "Shake and Pop," and received a 1st Place Platinum award. 

             Throughout the year, company members audition for scholarships at the conventions attended. This year, 28 dancers were selected as scholarship winners and finalists. Click here to see!
