Megan D'Arensbourg

Megan D'ArensbourgMegan has 16 years of dance experience as a student and performer as well as 8 years of experience as a choreographer and instructor. She began her training here at Tari's School of dance at the age of 10 and was a 6 year member of Tari's Company. While on Company, Megan received instruction from professional guest instructors and choreographers such as Ray Leeper, Brooke Lipton, Jason Parsons and more. In 2001, she won a scholarship to train for a summer at The Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood, and has continued her dance education through classes at the Broadway Dance Center in NYC as well as at West Coast Dance Explosion, Los Angeles Dance Force, Los Angeles Dance Magic, New York City Dance Alliance and Tremaine annual workshops.While obtaining her degree in Interior Design, Megan was a 2 year member of the LSU Golden Girls and was awarded "The Most Outstanding New Band Member" award. In 2004, she joined the Cangelosi Dance Project as a professional company member and performed at the Jazz Dance World Congress in Chicago. She also has experience in choreographic work for local high school musicals including Zachary High's "Bye Bye Birdie" and Christian Life's "Wizard of Oz." She has served as an adjudicator for dance team auditions as well as the American All Star State Dance Competition held in Lafayette. She is also one of the choreographers for the New Orleans Saintsations and aided in the selection of the 2008 team.
